Revision Review: Guide

Intent
Review text changes online: paste an original version and a revised version, then accept or reject edits to finalize your document. Useful for reviewing AI edits, editorial suggestions, or change requests.
What it does
Computes a line-based diff between two versions of text, groups changes into review blocks, and lets you pick Original or Revised for each change to generate a final document.
Key features
Side-by-side review (click a side to select), Drag-and-drop .txt/.md inputs, Instant final output (copy + download), Local-only processing
Privacy
Everything runs locally in your browser. No text is uploaded.
Best for
  • Reviewing AI rewrites (accept only the edits you want)
  • Editors and writers deciding which suggested changes to keep
  • Policy, docs, or README updates where not every change should be accepted
  • Anyone searching 'review text changes' or 'accept reject changes'
Why this tool
  • Review workflow, not just a diff: decide what to keep and generate a final document
  • Fast for real-world edits: grouped change blocks with one-click decisions
  • Local-only: paste sensitive text without uploading it

How to use

  1. 1Drop a .txt/.md file (or paste) into Original.
  2. 2Drop a .txt/.md file (or paste) into Revised (AI edit, suggestion, new version).
  3. 3For each change, click the Original or Revised side (or use the middle buttons).
  4. 4Copy or download the Final text.

Common mistakes

  • Only pasting one side (the tool needs both original and revised text).
  • Swapping sides changes what 'Use revised' means (re-check after swapping).
  • Very large documents can be slow in any browser; review in sections if needed.
  • Expecting semantic/refactor detection (this is a text review tool, not a code refactor engine).

Examples

Review AI edits
Original: - Shipped the new flow. - Fixed the edge case. Revised: - Shipped the new flow (v2). - Fixed an edge case. Reject any edits you do not want and copy the final text.
Keep the original tone
If the revised version changes your voice too much, reject those blocks to keep the original wording.
